Renolith 2.0 is a nanopolymer admixture for cementitious binders. In chemical terms, it is a colloidal suspension comprising a latex emulsion and stable colloidal dispersion of nanosilica and nanocellulose. It is compatible with ordinary Portland cement and with binder blends containing supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs). It is most often used for creating high-performance bound layers from in-situ soils and/or recycled aggregates in flexible pavement applications.
A substantial body of evidence characterizes the efficacy of Renolith in pavement and concrete nanoengineering applications. However, there are myriad variables and potential applications. The standard Renolith 2.0 admixture sample kit contains 2 x 100g resealable pouches.
The recommended dosage of Renolith 2.0 is 5% w/w binder. So, each 100g admixture pouch will treat 2kg of cement (or equivalent binder).
Typical bound pavement mixes contain 2-5% w/w cementitious binder.
So, each 100g pouch of Renolith 2.0 admixture will yield 40-100kg of bound material.
